Two Important Updates
1. The flooding situation from the rain Saturday is under control. We had standing water of a little over an inch on the first floor under the sanctuary. We contracted with our new cleaning company, Smart Choice, to remove the water Sunday night. We also contracted with them to remove the damaged dry wall and other damaged materials. Most of that work is done so no further problems should result from the flooding on Saturday. We will receive an estimate from Smart Choice, to repair the damaged areas and will most likely take other bids to make the best decision on completing the work. We have been in touch with our insurance company and believe we will be fully covered for the damages.
2. Persian World Outreach who has a Bible Study in our church on Saturday nights in room 200 would like to move from Saturday to Sunday and use the sanctuary and fellowship hall. Their plan is to have worship and Bible study at 5:00 in the sanctuary and fellowship in the fellowship hall at 7:00. I have reached out to the Hispanic Congregation and they feel this schedule will work with them. Pat Tosan, who is a part of Persian World Outreach, is also Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Field Personnel. Pat and her husband Mitch have been working with Persian people and sharing the gospel in Northern Virginia for over 17 years. We will discuss the move in our business meeting Sunday and I am seeking the church’s support in this move.
