Just In Time

Linda Soller | Jul 29, 2024

Time flies when you are having fun or when you watch your summer go by. Hard to believe it’s the end of July. Harder for us to believe that our church has come to the end of our time with Pastor Sean leading us. Oh, we all understand and recognize he has been given a great opportunity. We truly wish him well. On the other hand, we also know there is much to do. The process of finding a new minister in a Baptist church is not fast. So, the downside, beside missing Sean, is that in a short period of time our congregation has to organize and make a big decision. The upside just may be what God has planned.  Only thing is, we don’t really know what that is yet. We humans are not known for patience. I was happy to get back just in time for Sean’s last official sermon at FBC. A bittersweet day.  I was also back just in time to see all the activity kick into high gear. It’s truly exciting to see such a diverse congregation unite to make things happen. There is an energy and awareness that is contagious. There are new opportunities to serve. There are new ways to reach out. There is no better time to be the family of faith we think we can be. We aren’t foolish. We know there will be work involved, but I am totally convinced that God’s plan for us will work out and it will be just in time.

Be kind, be brave, have faith!  : )   Linda
