Someone Said...

Linda Soller | Jul 15, 2024

As we continue to explore the joys and the challenges of our summer vacation time, I thought you might like to read a few quotes. Quotes are handy when you don’t want to tax your brain with being original. It’s hot outside. Have a big glass of ice water, put up your feet and read on.

“I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list” – Susan Sontag

“Not all those who wander are lost” – J.R.R. Tolkien

“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta

“Laughter is an instant vacation” – Milton Berle

“Don’t count the days. Make the days count”. – Muhammad Ali

“My favorite place to vacation is any place by the ocean”. – Nina Arianda

“The mountains are calling, and I must go”. – John Muir

And here are some from unknown and anonymous quotes:

“I need a six-month vacation, twice a year”.

“There should be sympathy cards for having to go back to work after vacation”.

“Time for some Vitamin Seas”.

“Vacation calories don’t count.”

What is your favorite vacation quote? If you don’t know everyone who is noted above not to worry, I had to look up a few myself. Whatever your vacation looks like or feels like just make it your own. Make memories, appreciate your blessings, and thank God for the gifts you’ve been given. I wish for you to return to your routine as a storyteller.

Be kind, be brave, have faith!  : )   Linda
