History has proven, time and time again, the value of unity. The strength of any group depends on how well each member of the group is connected and united with each other. People like to associate with other like-minded people. This is our nature. At the First Baptist Church of Herndon we believe the church is a one big extended family. Come join us to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus and to build a loving community.
As described in Hebrews 10:24-25, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near”.
Our church offers a gathering place to worship and nurture our growing family. Together we encourage each other and create a support structure. When you connect with FBCH family, together we help all of us to discover how God has uniquely designed us with gifts, talents and passions to honor God by serving our church family.
“Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity”, 1 Timothy 5:1-2. This verse reveals the importance of our church family. Everyone has a place in the FBCH family to enjoy and provide the loving environment that we all so desperately need.
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality”, Romans 12:10-13.
Please contact us or just show up. We will embrace you with open arms. Join us and serve our Lord with full devotion. Our church family is guided by the examples Lord Jesus have shown and the centerpiece is the nurturing of love in each other’s heart.
